Global Bible College and Seminary (GBCS) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of excellence, integrity, and transparency in all aspects of its academic, administrative, and operational functions. This Policies and Terms section outlines the rules, guidelines, and ethical standards that govern our institution's relationship with students, faculty, staff, and stakeholders.

 

These policies ensure clarity, fairness, and accountability across all programs, whether delivered on-campus, online, or through correspondence studies.

Academic Policies

2.1 Admission Policy

• Admission to GBCS is open to all qualified applicants regardless of race, gender, or national origin.

• Applicants must meet academic prerequisites for each program level.

• All documents submitted for admission (e.g., transcripts, certificates) must be verified and authentic.

2.2 Grading and Assessment Policy

• GBCS adheres to a standardized grading system for all programs.

• Students must maintain the minimum GPA required for their respective programs to maintain good academic standing.

• Assessment includes written exams, practical evaluations, and assignments.

2.3 Attendance Policy

• Regular attendance in all scheduled virtual or in-person classes is mandatory.

• Students are required to inform faculty in advance of any planned absences.

2.4 Academic Integrity Policy

• Plagiarism, cheating, or academic dishonesty in any form is strictly prohibited.

• Violations will result in disciplinary action, including possible suspension or expulsion.

3. Financial Policies

3.1 Tuition and Fees

• Tuition and fees are determined annually and are subject to change with notice.

• Payments are accepted via certified funds, money orders, or PayPal at globalbiblecs2020@gmail.com.

• Payment plans are available through a signed Promissory Note Agreement.

3.2 Refund Policy

• Students withdrawing before the start of the semester are eligible for a 25% refund of tuition.

3.3 Financial Aid Policy

• GBCS offers in-house financing plans but does not participate in Title IV Federal Funding programs.

• Scholarships are available based on academic performance, financial need, and ministry service.

4. Code of Conduct

4.1 Student Code of Conduct

• Students are expected to behave respectfully towards peers, faculty, and staff.

• Harassment, discrimination, or disruptive behavior will not be tolerated.

4.2 Faculty and Staff Code of Conduct

• Faculty and staff must uphold professional standards and maintain confidentiality.

• Conflicts of interest must be disclosed to the appropriate authorities.

4.3 Dress Code

• Students and staff must maintain appropriate attire that reflects professionalism and respect for the academic environment.

5. Privacy and Data Protection Policy

5.1 Student Privacy Policy (FERPA Compliance)

• GBCS complies with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) to protect student records and personal information.

• Student information will not be shared without written consent unless required by law.

5.2 Data Security Policy

• All personal and academic records are stored securely in compliance with data protection laws.

• Digital information is encrypted and access is restricted to authorized personnel.

6. Withdrawal and Refund Policy

6.1 Withdrawal Policy

• Students must submit a formal written request for withdrawal.

• A $75 withdrawal fee applies to all withdrawals.

6.2 Refund Schedule

• 25% refund: During the first week, the semester begins.

• No refund: After the first week, the semester begins.

7. Technology and Online Learning Policies

7.1 Learning Management System (LMS) Policy

• All students must have reliable access to the internet and the designated LMS platform.

7.2 Virtual Classroom Policy

• Students must adhere to virtual classroom etiquette, including punctuality and active participation.

• Unauthorized recording or sharing of class content is strictly prohibited.

8. Anti-Discrimination and Equal Opportunity Policy

• GBCS provides equal opportunities in admissions, hiring, and program access.

• Discrimination based on race, gender, religion, disability, or nationality is strictly prohibited.

• Any reports of discrimination will be promptly investigated.

9. Grievance and Dispute Resolution Policy

9.1 Student Grievances

• Students may submit written grievances to the Registrar’s Office.

• A formal review process will be initiated, and a resolution will be communicated in writing.

9.2 Faculty and Staff Grievances

• Faculty and staff grievances must be submitted to the Human Resources Department.

• A mediation process will be offered before escalation.

10. Intellectual Property Policy

• GBCS retains ownership of all course materials, curriculum, and intellectual property created for institutional use.

• Unauthorized reproduction or distribution of course materials is strictly prohibited.

11. Health and Safety Policy

• All campus facilities comply with local and federal health and safety regulations.

• Emergency response plans are in place for natural disasters, health crises, and security threats.

12. Amendments and Updates

• GBCS reserves the right to amend policies at its discretion.

• Students, faculty, and staff will receive updates via official communication channels.

13. Acceptance of Policies and Terms
